Favorites: Travel Snacks
Whether you're going on a weekend getaway, week trip, day trip, etc, having quick foods on-the-go that can also fit into your macros is important! I'm going to post some photos below of my favorite travel snacks to give you some ideas for your future trips!
These bean crisps are SO good, macro friendly, and are a great fiber source!
Most big gas stations have these, so they are easy to find on the road and high in protein!
This is by far my favorite brand of beef jerky. I've seen it at kroger, target, sheetz, and wawa!
Found at sheetz and target!
Found at sheetz and most grocery stores.
These are probably my favorite high protein snack! Found at supplement stores!
Another protein snack found at supplement stores such as vitamin shoppe and GNC!
High protein/low carb/low fat chip alternative!
Deli meat is something else you can travel with as long as you eat it before it goes bad ;) Keep it in a small cooler bag!
Easy and tasty carb source of applesauce!
Protein bars are a quick source of protein, fat, carbs, and potentially fiber!
This could be a gross concept to some of you, but it's an easy source of good protein and fat. :)
Last but not least, fruit is a very easy and portable travel snack!
These snacks I've mentioned are mostly packaged and easy to find in places like gas stations, smaller stores on the road, grocery stores that you see when traveling, etc, but it still requires some sort of planning. Planning is super important especially with nutrition goals. You know the corny saying - fail to plan, plan to fail!
Happy Memorial Day!
